Gingerbread House in a Jar

Gingerbread House in a Jar
There was a gingerbread house competition as part of our towns 30th annual christmas tree lighting ceremony. As i now have 2 children under 2, I certainly didnt have the time or space to go big. So i had an idea to kind of recreate the ship in a bottle idea in a gingerbread house. This may just be the next "big" thing in gingerbread houses.

I took second place in the adult category and got a ribbon and a plaque, and a generous gift card to spend at General Quarter, one of our towns local shops.

All wired with battery operated lights.
Chocolate base
The first attempt at the walls... no so sucessful. Doubled the cooking time for the second batch, and while not highly edible they were certainly more sturdy.
Test fitting the pieces.
